Screenwriting Diploma 8 April 2013 - 20 March 2014
Our Screenwriting Diploma is designed to prepare aspiring writers for the reality of working life in the Film & TV industry. At LFA, students will be surrounded by a filmmaking environment, powered by dynamic and successful writers and producers working within the industry. Our aim is to get students thinking about film as a business as well as an art form, and to encourage them to start planning a strategic career path for themselves as screenwriters once they graduate. More details on the course and how to apply can be found here.
Screenwriting Foundation 18 - 29 March 2013
This course is for aspiring writers or writer-directors who have lots of ideas and are looking to make a film. You have the chance to see how writing for the screen is different from writing a novel or play. You are taught about film narrative, character-driven storytelling, action and dialogue. You write and rewrite a short film script with script-editing input and guidance from professional film & TV screenwriters, script editors and producers. More details on the course and how to apply can be found here.
The event starts prompt at 18.30 with an introduction to the course and how to apply followed by a Q&A session with LFA team members, tutors and graduates. We will be offering tours of our premises between 18.00 and 18.30.
