Prominent Korean screenwriter and director, Park Hoon-jung, best known in the UK for scribing Kim Jee-woon’s highly acclaimed, 'I saw the Devil' (2010), is in LFA to discuss his latest film, 'New World', in addition to exploring his writing process in a panel-based discussion moderated by LFA Screenwriting Diploma graduate, Jake Rowlands (now Development Executive at Elstree Studio Productions) and writer & script editor Kira-Anne Pelican (founder of Filmscribe). The panel will provide a debate on how they first encountered Korean cinema and the films of Park Hoon-jung, with a view to exploring the industry differences between UK and Korean filmmakers.
This is a must-attend event for writers, filmmakers and those with a passion for East Asian cinema.
