How do different editing packages interpret information from domestic to professional HD? A professional editor demystifies any technical doubts, equipping storytellers for creative work.

Fernando Ruiz, Editor & Director
Fernando won his first award as a filmmaker at the age of 14. He has subsequently been awarded over 15 prizes for his various films and music videos. He has recently worked for Universal music and has taken part in the post production of all his projects. As well as being an editor, Fernando has developed the visual effects for music videos, films and TV idents he has directed so far.
Beginning his career in the humility of the Hi8 domestic format, Fernando has had the chance to experiment and work with various formats ranging from the low end DV to the highest end 4K and film formats.
He is currently in production of his latest short film and in pre-production of his feature debut, "The Sky in Bloom", a film that he will DOP, edit and co-produce in the summer of 2010.
