London Film Academy presents: CASTING WORKSHOP @ Encounters Film Festival

This session will cover the casting process in its entirety, with a focus on: working and communicating with actors; typical casting mistakes; solutions for common problems during film or TV casting; directing actors; a personal approach to actors in work environment; casting research; working with casting directors; practical exercises and examples of casting scenarios.

The session will encourage open discussion and close with a Q&A.

About the tutor: Joanna Ignaczewska has been involved in the casting for many TV series, short films and commercials. She is a graduate of the prestigious Actors Studio at Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York City and has recently starred in the new hit comedy series 'Threesome'. Her acting credits include: BBC drama 'Wallander''; Matthew Xia's 'Windrush' at the Theatre Royal; reels of short film, music video and several feature films – including psychological thriller 'Scopia' dir. Chris Butler, 'Between Two Suns' dir. Samuel Maybank, 'Two Rooms and Mirror' dir. Lara Jasocki – and most recently a TV commercial with Cadbury for the London 2012 Olympic Games which she also cast. She currently has the lead role in a feature set to take her around the world shooting in London, Budapest, Vienna and Prague.
