STUDENT SUCCESS: Filmmaking Diploma graduate invited to Berline Talent Campus

Congratulations to Filmmaking Diploma 7 graduate Dario Jurican, who has been selected to take part in the prestigious Berlinale Talent Campus 2010, held at the 60th Berlin International Film Festival, the most attended film festival in the world, 13-18 February 2010. This year's theme is Cinema Needs Talent: Looking for the Right People.

Proof that perserverance pays in the film industry, a delighted Dario says, "It has taken me four professional shorts and five applications - that's five years - to get here."

Now in its eighth year, the Berlinale Talent Campus is a creative summit for up-and-coming filmmakers that offers six days of  lectures, discussions, workshops and excursions to places such as the European Film Market for up-and-coming filmmakers and critics, allowing participants to network for future collaborations and develop their skills with the aim of jumping to the next level of their careers. Competition for acceptance is tough: there were 4,773 applications from 145 countries.
