| Educated at Cambridge
University and the National Film and Television
School, BOB PORTAL worked for
five years as line producer of various UK features,
including 'Metrodome's Darklands' and One World's '24 Hours in London'.
He also produced music videos for artists such
as The Levellers, The Eagles, Richard E. Grant
and World Party, commercials for clients such
as Amnesty International, and various award-winning
shorts. Since setting up Phantom Pictures with German producer Andreas Bajohra
in 2000, Bob has produced and co-produced 4 features,
including the internationally acclaimed 'Mr
In-Between', and the comedy Baby
Juice Express, both released in
the UK in 2003. In 2004 Bob was post-production
producer on 'The Merchant of Venice' and is currently producing the
feature film 'Dark Places'. His
teaching credentials include Producing Tutor on
Film Council/FT2 Development Course (2002). Lecturer
on New Producers Alliance Producing Course (2001-5)
and Budgeting and Scheduling tuition for industry
professionals (1999-2002).
