HEAD OF COURSES

London Film Academy is seeking an experienced Head of Courses to join our Senior Management team. 

With popular BA and MA courses, experience in leading academic courses at HE level is a must. You will have responsibility for all areas of academic quality, student experience, and obligations relating to necessary stakeholders, including our validating university partner(s) and Office for Students.  Knowledge of film practice is also a key attribute, as you will be required to ensure that our course delivery is pertinent to the needs and expectations of the industry at large. 

To support our growth, we also expect you to identify and support opportunities for new or revised course provision. This strategic input will require awareness of the market as well as innovation and be in line with our values.

SENIOR PRODUCTION COORDINATOR

London Film Academy is seeking a hands-on, experienced Production Coordinator to join our team to oversee our growing slate of film productions. 

You will manage the LFA production office, which oversees the facilitation of a high volume of short films. LFA typically commissions short fiction films between 2 and 12 minutes in length, shot on Super 16mm film / digital cameras, and using professional actors. This role will require you to work closely with the LFA course teams and operational staff, particularly the equipment and post-production coordinators. 

This is a multi-faceted role that requires flexibility and calmness under pressure. As well as a significant number of film credits, it will offer the opportunity to get a full-picture experience of short film production, from concept and commissioning through to exhibition and distribution.

FACILITIES AND H&S MANAGER

Leading a team of staff, you will apply high standards to all facets of operational activity that supports exceptional educational delivery. LFA prides itself on delivering authentic and relevant training that prepares our students for the realities of professional productions within the film industry. Therefore, we place the highest demands on the functionality, relevance and efficiency of our equipment and systems.

You will also be responsible for delivering the highest possible standards to the appearance and functionality of our premises, and for providing a safe and productive environment in which our students can innovate, study, work and shoot films.

HR OFFICER

INTERNSHIPS AT THE LFA

LFA is currently have an opportunity for an amazing intern as a part of their educational programme. What are we looking for:

  • You are interested in filmmaking and eager to learn more about life on a film set.

Events & Marketing:

  • Help the staff setting up for various events
  • Hand out flyers/postcards at LFA events and festivals

Production:

  • Assist on student productions in various roles on set

Administration:

  • Answering the phone at front of house
  • Opening / closing the building
  • Printing & binding booklets for courses
  • Stock checking & replenishing
  • Ad hoc administrative duties

Equipment:

  • Assist in studio maintenance
  • Set/building for productions
