Tips on preparing for Clearing with us

08 July 2019

We know that Clearing can be a stressful time for filmmaking students, but here at London Film Academy we want you to be ready so you can make the most of the opportunity and find the educational experience that’s right for you.

Consider how Clearing can be a positive experience, one which will open new doors, and give you an opportunity that you hadn’t previous considered possible. Here are some scenarios where clearing could be an option:

  • You’ve decided the universities/places you previously selected are no longer right for you

  • You are applying to a film school or university for the first time

  • You want to change subject and explore new options, like a BA (Hons) Filmmaking at a dedicated film school

  • You didn’t get the exam results you were expecting (that’s okay, it can happen!)

  • You don’t have any other offers

  • You didn’t get your first choices

WHAT DO YOU DO NEXT?

  1. Be prepared. Take your time and read up about our practical BA (Hons) Filmmaking to make sure it’s the right course for you.

  1. Take a look at UCAS and see which schools and courses you might be interested in. It’s best to be informed and have researched your options thoroughly so you know what’s out there.

  1. Come and meet us. Book a tour with us to personally see what we are all about - we also have a Clearing Open House coming up on the 22nd August. We love meeting our future students, so why not see London Film Academy first hand and find out how we can help you become the filmmaker you’re dreaming of becoming.

  1. Ask us as many questions as you like. Just get in touch with our Admissions team who are always happy to help.

  1. Think we might be right for you? Why not register your interest for Clearing directly with us, or via UCAS Clearing - here are our UCAS codes.

We look forward to meeting you.
